About Me
Hi, I’m Jamie. I’m an eco-chaplain under the training of the Sati Center for Buddhist Studies and founder of Lotus Compass. My formal spiritual practice started over a decade ago, but really it began when I was out on the farm, spending lazy summer days with my pony Angel.
My work as an eco-chaplain is framed by my belief that our individual healing is the Earth’s healing, and the natural world is available as a teacher to all of us. Understanding this, we are able to be guided by the wisdom of nature if only we slow down enough to listen.
As an eco-chaplain, I am a conduit to help people connect more deeply to nature, and in turn, connect more deeply with themselves. Eco-chaplaincy is the work of my heart & soul. It holds space for the full range of the human experience: grief and anxiety, hope and resilience, birth and death, loss and renewal. The heart of my work is simply about remembering that everything leads us to awakening, if we meet it with presence and openness.
